Valentine's Day is Coming Up

Hey Readers,

It's either good news or bad news at this time of the year, and if you're like me, it's time to figure out the perfect gift to buy your loved one.

Personally, I don't think buying roses is that good of an idea (I guess it depends on the girl), so here's an idea you might want to consider:

Ok maybe you don't need to buy that many.

Just buy some origami paper, learn how to make origami roses, and make a bunch of them. Make it look all nice and fancy and you've made a pretty impressive Valentine's gift!

Learn to make these and make a few of them.

Sure this will take a bit more time probably, but I think it will all work out for the best!  I guess I am making it sound easier than it is, but it's worth a try =). It's neat, relatively inexpensive, and shows a lot of effort (just make sure the recipient knows you didn't just buy the origami roses).

This is just one idea of many possible great ideas.  Perhaps you already have something masterfully planned!  Feel free to share in the comments =P.

Good luck to you all, thanks for reading!

Screw Valentine's Day. I'm going out with some other single ladies and trying to forget about all the cute couples around me.

I'm not the type of person to celebrate Valentines Day, but I think your suggestion is great. A gift is generally held in high regard if you took the time to make it :)

My mom does a whole bunch of oragami things, it clutters up the house, but it's quite pretty at the same time. ^^

That is a good idea, but I am not very creative like that.

Origami would be great! I love making stuff, even though I'm not very good at it XD

No plans yet. Can't disappoint her, so I need some inspiration.
I've been thinking to make an exploding box that shoots a confetti of little paper hearts. My kids will love it. But my wife wont, I'm afraid.

a gift you made is always better than a gift that was bought.
